Ralph loved everything about Local 3. He not only loved what he did,
but he enjoyed the people that he worked with. In the brotherhood of Local
3, he gained many friends, and lit many of the buildings in the city up.
His usual workday
| Getting up at the crack of dawn, he would take the Long Island Railroad
into the city. (Only a few months before, he would drive his car into
Astoria which is in western Queens and catch the 7 train into Manhattan). |
| He would often start his day with his coworkers to get breakfast, usually
a bagel. |
| If he had the chance for overtime he would do it. |
| For lunch, Ralph would hit the nearest fast food restaurant in the
following priority depending on what was within the area McDonalds, Roy
Rogers, etc... |
His Work Companions
| Ralph worked for P.E. Stone since the day he became an electrician.
Most electricians leave within the first few years after
apprenticeship. But Ralph was a faithful employee because not only did
he love the jobs that he got, but mostly for the people he worked with. |
