Sister I’d
like to recite a poem that some of you may have heard before that I think is
appropriate.
Grieve not…
Nor speak of me with tears…
But laugh and talk of me…
As though I were beside you.
I loved you so…
‘Twas Heaven here with you. This
sums up what Ralph would say to us today. He
accomplished a lot in the short thirty years he had. He had a wonderful and
loving wife, two beautiful sons who adored him, and a house he so proudly worked
in and around. When he wanted something done, he did it. We
had many happy occasions this past year to be together as a family and
celebrate: our children’s births and baptisms, his surprise thirtieth birthday
party in July, and the night before the tragedy, my son’s, his godson’s
first birthday. I will never forget the warmth and closeness of that evening. I
will always treasure the memory of that last night we got to spend together full
of happiness and love. I
try to take comfort in knowing he is with God and is at peace, and that a part
of him lives on in his sons, Ralph and Michael. Ralph
was my brother but he was also my friend. Ralph,
I love you dearly. I will miss you every day for the rest of my life. |
