Friend's Eulogy to his friend

Before beginning, I'd like to express my deepest sympathy to Ralph's family, and wish them well in their quest to build something positive from this shocking and sudden loss.

Throughout my own life I have had friendships that came and went, but with Ralph it lasted for 20 years. He was simple, sincere, truthful, and kind. It was my privilege to have had him as such a close friend.

I admired him for various reasons. I admired his childlike simplicity, his integrity and most of all his kind and forgiving temper. He lived a life that was outwardly simple but inwardly rich.  Ralph has touched all of us whether in knowing him personally or knowing him through others. We all carry with us that love, that warmth and encouragement he shared.

We will all feel cheated that he was taken from us so young and yet we must learn to be grateful that he came along at all.

Remember the joy it was to know Ralph and the joy it was to witness the things he said, the smiles he shared, the kindnesses he did, and how he laughed. That's how I'll remember him. And carry on in my heart the great memories he has given me.

Though this is a memorial service for Ralph, I'm not saying goodbye for good He's gone on ahead of us, to a better place He'll watch over us And he'll continue to touch us throughout our lives until we meet up with him again. So I won't say "goodbye" today, just I love you, and I'll see you later brother. God bless you Ralph and God bless and comfort those you love
