Brother's Eulogy to his brother

My brother Ralph’s past 30 years brought happiness to everyone he came into contact with.  He would light up a room wherever he went, and would help people out, without requests or hesitation.  Throughout our lives, Ralph and I spent a lot of time together… little league, boy scouts, and living in the same room together for most our lives.   We weren’t just brothers, we were also best friends.   We did a lot together.  Throughout Ralph’s life, he was always there for me…. whether it was supporting me through the bad times, or sharing in the good.

Like most brothers, we laughed a lot…fought a lot.   But in the end, we were always there for each other.

I always admired the way he was able to go into a crowded room and be able to make people laugh & have compassion for others.   He took genuine interest in others and was unselfish, putting others in front of himself.   He was a true hero to me in the way he helped others out, throughout his life, without ever expecting anything in return.  Although his physical presence is not here today, he is strong in spirit.  He would want the rest of us to be strong throughout this period.  Today, we celebrate his life.

Ralph… today, I want to say "thank you" for the way you brightened my life.  Also, thank you for bringing Jennifer, little Ralph, and Michael, into the family.  Your spirit and your memories will be in my heart forever.   I’ll always love you.
